Job summary

Teasdale Foods, Inc. is seeking a Day Shift Production Supervisor in Hoopeston, IL to lead a team in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility.

You will hire, train, schedule, and manage performance while coordinating production plans, ensuring safety and quality, and driving continuous improvement to meet customer demand. The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 2+ years in a supervisory role in food manufacturing; a Bachelor's in a related field is preferred, along with

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role in food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of food production processes and GMP.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead production workers including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Plan and coordinate production activities to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Monitor quality and food safety compliance with GMP and standards.
• Develop production schedules and improve processes to meet demand.
• Inspect areas and equipment for maintenance, safety, or quality issues.
• Train staff on procedures, safety, and quality requirements.
• Maintain production records and report metrics to management.
• Enforce safety protocols and proper PPE usage.
• Coordinate with maintenance, QA, and logistics to smooth operations.
• Provide regular performance reports on productivity and yield.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Bachelor's degree in Food Science/Engineering (preferred)

Food safety certification (HACCP/SQF) (plus)
