Job summary

Teasdale Foods Inc is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Hoopeston, IL to lead a production team and ensure safe, efficient operations that meet quality standards. You will coordinate staffing, training, scheduling, and performance management to hit targets and maintain compliance with GMP and food safety requirements.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and a focus on continuous improvement in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Supervisory or lead experience in food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and 5S.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of production workers, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management, to achieve production targets and quality objectives.
• Plan and coordinate production activities, including resource allocation, equipment setup, and workflow optimization, to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Monitor production processes and quality control measures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, GMP, and company standards.
• Collaborate with the Production / Unit Manager to develop schedules, production plans, and process improvements to meet demand and goals.
• Conduct regular inspections of production areas, equipment, and facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards and take corrective actions.
• Train production workers on procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards to ensure consistent product quality.
• Maintain accurate production records, including reports, inventory levels, and quality documentation, to track performance.
• Coordinate with maintenance, QA, and logistics to address issues and keep the process running smoothly.
