Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial mechanical construction projects. This hands-on role requires building strong teams, maintaining safe and productive jobsites, and delivering projects from startup through closeout.

You will supervise field crews, coordinate with project managers and subcontractors, drive safety and quality, manage schedules and costs, and mentor Foremen to develop future leaders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supervising commercial construction projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage manpower, schedules, and field productivity.
• OSHA 30 preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field operations from startup to closeout.
• Coordinate field crews, foremen, subcontractors, and equipment.
• Maintain schedules, productivity, and project milestones.
• Lead safety programs and enforce VMG safety policies.
• Develop and mentor foremen and field staff.
