Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead jobsite operations for HVAC and plumbing projects in the Metro DC area. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and productivity, with responsibility for scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating field crews and subcontractors.

You will maintain project documentation, track costs, and communicate effectively with clients and general contractors to drive projects to successful completion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supervising commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, sequencing, and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Valid driver's license and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily jobsite operations with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Lead field crews and subcontractors, coordinating activities and resources.
• Represent VMG in meetings with clients and project partners.
• Complete daily reports, time sheets, and job logs accurately.
