Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial construction projects in the Sterling, VA area. You will drive project success from kickoff through closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, and quality while mentoring field crews.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, coordination of subcontractors, and strict adherence to VMG standards, with opportunities for professional growth within a growing bi-state contractor.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience supervising commercial construction projects.
• HVAC, Plumbing, or MEP experience preferred.
• Proven success leading field teams on complex commercial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily field operations to uphold safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Develop and manage project schedules to keep work on track.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors for efficiency.
• Plan work sequencing and resolve field challenges proactively.
• Represent VMG in meetings with owners, general contractors, and engineers.
