Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Field Service Technician I, Lead to support fuel cells in electric lift trucks at customer sites. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and coordinate parts and tools for effective service.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three or more years of direct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation is preferred.
• Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Able to work independently and deliver quality.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a location.
• Field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Providing emergency support service to customers as required.
• Completing administrative duties and documentation including service logs and reports.
