Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to service fuel cells in electric lift trucks at a specified location. The role involves preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and field retrofits, with on-call support and parts management.

Strong technical, communication, and independent-work skills are essential. Qualifications include a high school diploma with electrical coursework and 3+ years in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with technical electrical coursework.
• 3+ years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must possess a valid driver license and a clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation is highly preferred.
• Computer skills: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a specific location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Provide on-call and emergency support to customers.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support.
• Travel as required for business needs; safely drive and follow traffic laws.
• Represent Plug Power professionally in all interactions.
• Complete administrative duties and documentation including incident reports and service logs.
