Job summary

Honeywell International Inc. in Huntsville, AL seeks a Lead Field Service Technician to lead installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of BAS and Fire Alarm/Life Safety systems.

You will provide technical leadership to field teams, resolve complex customer issues, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. This role requires strong customer-facing skills, the ability to mentor technicians, and hands-on project management across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing BAS or Fire Alarm systems.
• 5+ years diagnosing complex controls, software, hardware, and network issues.
• 5+ years leading field service projects or technical teams in a customer-facing environment.
• 5+ years testing, inspections, preventive maintenance, and commissioning.
• 5+ years interpreting technical drawings, schematics, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Strong knowledge of BAS, Fire Alarm/Life Safety systems, and NFPA standards.
• Strong customer-facing, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, and repair BAS and Fire Alarm systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues on-site and remotely.
• Support and mentor field service technicians.
• Work with customers, contractors, and internal teams to deliver solutions.
• Perform testing, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA codes, safety standards, and company policies.
• Maintain service documentation and project records.
• Lead service projects and manage multiple priorities.
• Train customers on system operation and maintenance.
• Drive continuous improvement and service best practices.
