Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in Hazlehurst, MS is seeking an Operations Supervisor for a feed mill producing under 10 tons per week. You will lead staff through subordinate leaders, ensuring timely pickup and delivery to growers while maintaining quality and compliance with FSMA, federal and state guidelines.

You will drive cost and quality improvements, manage capital expenditures within policy, and provide regular performance reports to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years' progressive experience in a feed mill environment.
• Two (2) years leadership experience including conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements surrounding food manufacture.
• Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Suite) and math.

Responsibilities

• Oversee feed mill operations to ensure quantity and quality targets.
• Manage contract trucking and railroad grain delivery negotiations and performance.
• Oversee ingredient purchases and production material availability.
• Prepare reports on production, costs and performance for leadership.
• Develop capital budgets and ensure policy compliance.
