Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Principal Federal Compliance & Security Architect to serve as the chief technical authority for our federal platform footprint. You will define and inform technical vision and bridge high-level compliance directives with robust cloud engineering to achieve FedRAMP High/Moderate and DoD IL5 authorizations.

You will partner with Engineering and Product leadership to drive architectural excellence, establish reusable design frameworks, and guide secure-by-default practices

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security architecture, cloud engineering, or systems design.
• Deep knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, RMF, FIPS, and DoD SRG requirements.
• Experience leading Federal security programs and DoD IL5 authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Establish architectural standards and drive compliant-by-default, scalable federal platforms.
• Translate regulatory requirements into high-performance cloud architectures across AWS/Azure Gov.
• Lead architectural governance reviews and risk mitigation planning with leadership.
• Collaborate with executives, 3PAOs, and sponsors to secure FedRAMP and IL5 authorizations.
