Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Maintenance Technician II in Columbia, MD to lead a team and maintain a safe, ready-to-serve store environment for customers and employees. You will support the Facility Manager, ensure HVAC, vertical transportation, restaurants, entries, signs, and building systems are prepared for daily business, and drive reliable upkeep across critical equipment.

You’ll handle daily break-fix requests, conduct advanced troubleshooting, delegate work orders, and participate in store

Qualifications

• 5-7 years hands-on facilities experience with mechanical maintenance.
• 5+ years predictive and preventive maintenance experience.
• 5+ years HVAC, refrigeration, electrical and mechanical repair experience.
• Strong communication across all organizational levels.
• Ability to work unsupervised and meet multiple deadlines.
• Proficient with CMMS and Coupa systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
• Operate and monitor building controls and systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and manage parts ordering.
• Document maintenance activities and mentor others.
