Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to lead a team in maintaining a safe, clean, and fully functional store environment across Nordstrom locations.

You will support the Facilities Manager, perform preventive maintenance, and supervise on-demand repairs for critical equipment including HVAC, elevators, and building controls. You will mentor junior technicians, manage parts, and coordinate with vendors and store leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; Associates or higher preferred.
• 5-7 years hands-on facilities experience with mechanical maintenance.
• 5+ years in predictive and preventive maintenance.
• 5+ years in HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical work.
• Able to troubleshoot basic I/O, low voltage signals, and devices.
• Strong communication across organizational levels; self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems across Store Operations.
• Operate and monitor building controls and systems; respond to alarms.
• Mentor technicians and delegate work orders; assist with training.
• Support FM with vendor relations, parts ordering, and meetings.
• Maintain CMMS records and manage parts inventory.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies including LOTO and PPE.
