Job summary

Michels Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Senior Estimator to evaluate project opportunities, bid specifications, drawings, schedules, and project requirements. You will lead estimating efforts for large-scale projects, coordinating with procurement, operations, and leadership to develop competitive proposals.

The role requires preparing accurate estimates, securing vendor pricing, developing forecasts, and identifying risks to ensure successful turnover to project execution teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6-10 years of related estimating, construction, engineering, or project operations experience.
• Experience estimating large-scale mission-critical, hyperscale data center or infrastructure projects.
• Strong proficiency with Excel and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating for hyperscale data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• Review bid specifications, drawings, schedules, contracts, and owner requirements to ensure complete scope captured.
• Prepare material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and indirect cost estimates.
• Coordinate with procurement to obtain vendor pricing and support buyout strategies.
• Develop relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for timely bid participation.
• Identify project risks, assumptions, exclusions, opportunities, and constructability considerations.
• Support turnover by communicating estimate assumptions, risks, budgets, and bid strategies to project teams.
