Job summary

Michels Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead estimating and preconstruction for complex data center and infrastructure projects.

You will develop accurate cost estimates, assess project opportunities, identify risks, and support procurement strategies across multiple teams. You will drive conceptual budgeting through final proposal submission, shaping estimating strategies and processes, and ensuring competitive execution plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of estimating or preconstruction experience on complex projects.
• Experience with mission-critical, data center, EPC, heavy civil, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with estimating software and takeoff platforms.
• Ability to travel up to 50% for site visits, reviews, and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating and preconstruction efforts for mission-critical and large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Develop conceptual, design-build, EPC, and hard-bid estimates across project stages.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, geotechnical information, and schedules to support estimates.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, procurement, and project management to build execution strategies.
• Identify risks, labor and material impacts, and market conditions affecting costs.
• Support proposal preparation, bid reviews, value engineering, and client presentations.
