Job summary

IES is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to lead preconstruction and estimating for large-scale hyperscale data center projects.

This role blends senior-level electrical estimating with hands-on operational and field knowledge—pricing and preparing complex data center electrical scopes, verifying constructible designs, and partnering with CAD / BIM teams to turn engineered drawings into buildable conveyance systems.

Qualifications

• Extensive electrical estimating experience for large-scale data centers.
• Hyperscale data center experience with conveyance and distribution knowledge.
• Hands-on electrical construction background (field/PM/superintendent).
• Proficient with AccuBid and construction tools (Bluebeam/Procore/ACC).
• Ability to read electrical drawings, single-line diagrams and specs.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate, competitive electrical estimates for hyperscale data center projects, including conveyance and distribution systems.
• Lead preconstruction and pre-sales activities—quantify scope, price labor/material, prepare projects for construction.
• Support design-build scopes, RFI responses, and submittal reviews in preconstruction.
• Contribute to value engineering to optimize cost, reliability, and constructability.
• Provide field guidance and coordinate with CAD/BIM teams to translate designs into buildable models.
