Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator to join our growing civil construction business line. The role focuses on preparing detailed estimates from plans, specs, and scopes, with emphasis on self-perform heavy civil work and value engineering.

This remote position requires EST or CST availability and occasional travel; benefits include medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, life and disability insurance, 401(k) matching, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM or civil engineering is required.
• Field experience in self-perform contracting of civil infrastructure works.
• Federal project estimating experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates based on project size and scope.
• Provide quantity takeoffs and material lists to assess total costs.
• Identify and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans with the project team.
• Collaborate with field and office professionals to prepare each estimate.
• Meet interim milestones for constructibility and productivity reviews.
• Vet subcontractor pricing to ensure comprehensive scope coverage.
• Interface with Operations post-award for alternates and site condition reviews.
