Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator for our Civil Construction group. This remote position requires EST or CST availability and occasional travel.

You will prepare detailed estimates from plans and specifications, manage takeoffs, and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure accurate, value-driven bids. The ideal candidate has field self-perform contracting experience and familiarity with federal projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering is required.
• Field experience in self-perform contracting of civil infrastructure.
• Experience estimating federal projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and schedules.
• Must be able to obtain required clearance levels for a contract with military installations.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates including crew assemblies and production rates.
• Provide detailed quantity takeoffs and a clear list of materials with costs.
• Source and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes to determine best value.
• Identify risks and develop plans to address them with the project team.
• Collaborate with field and office professionals to prepare each estimate.
• Meet interim estimate milestones for reviews and re-calibration to meet deadlines.
• Support constructability reviews and vet subcontractor pricing for scope coverage.
• Interact with Operations post-award to discuss alternates and site conditions.
