Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks two ESI Systems Engineering Manager 2 to lead a multi-discipline team on the Sentinel (GBSD) program in Huntsville, AL. You will guide system integration across external interfaces, manage engineers, and coordinate with customer counterparts for program success.

The role requires a STEM degree, U.S. citizenship with active Secret clearance, and ability to obtain SAP clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of relevant experience; 6 years with a Masters.
• US Citizenship with Active U.S. Government Secret clearance with reinvestigation in last 6 years.
• Ability to obtain Special Access Programs (SAP) clearance.
• 2+ years experience on large-scale system development across design, integration and test phases.
• Earned Value Management (EVM) experience or CAM training.
• Experience working with external customers to meet program expectations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively and report status to Program Managers, IPT Management, and customers.
• Lead Integration activities for systems-of-systems integration including test planning and issue resolution.
• Support cost and schedule objectives; assist EVMS tracking and CAM activities.
• Demonstrate leadership principles and mentor teams throughout project execution.
• Develop key system engineering artifacts such as requirements and interface definitions.
• Participate in technical planning, verification/validation, risk considerations, and requirement analyses.
