Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT is seeking 2 Systems Engineering Manager 2 to lead a team of ~10 FTE on the Sentinel program. The role combines technical leadership with program management responsibilities and requires active security clearance.

Relocation assistance may be available. Key duties include owning cost, schedule, and EV for the team, performing architecture modeling, developing interface products, and defining verification approaches for 200+ items.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of related experience, 6 years with a master’s degree.
• 2+ years of experience with systems engineering lifecycle across requirements development, architecture, verification planning, and interface definition.
• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own both technical and programmatic leadership for a team of ~10 FTE performing systems engineering functions.
• Serve as a Work Package Lead (WPL), owning cost, schedule, and earned value responsibilities.
• Generate OPSCON documentation to identify and understand activities and support equipment required.
• Perform system architecture modeling activities (internal block diagram, block definition diagram, maintain branch integrity).
• Develop and mature interface products (interface requirements specification, interface design description).
• Perform requirements and verification approach definition for 200+ pieces of equipment and/or training devices.
• Own all aspects of employee performance management, mentorship, training, and career development.
