Republic Services Lead Operator role at a recycling facility, landfill or transfer station. You will oversee safety and daily operations of heavy equipment, coordinate operators, and ensure compliance with OSHA and state regulations.

The position emphasizes equipment readiness, timely production, and teamwork. Candidates should have supervisory experience, strong communication, and a commitment to safe, efficient operations within a large environmental services company.

Qualifications

• Three years of prior related experience in equipment operation.
• Valid certificate(s) of training and applicable licenses for operation of equipment.
• Understanding of safety regulations and OSHA standards.

Responsabilités

• Inspect all required equipment at start of shift and during shifts; record data on inspection forms.
• Safely operate equipment including forklift, bulldozer, excavator and other site machinery.
• Monitor equipment readiness and report mechanical issues to maintenance.
• Review daily production schedules and estimate hour requirements for operations.
• Suggest improvements to equipment use, processes and workspace for efficiency.
• Direct and train staff; assign duties and coordinate with supervisors.
• Maintain clean, serviced shop and assist with shift handovers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
