Job summary

The Perry Group, a CDM Smith company, is hiring an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with strong heavy industrial power plant expertise. You will define projects, plan schedules, manage budgets, and ensure profitability while coordinating with engineers, clients, and vendors across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include creating work breakdown structures, handling client billings, managing change, and mentoring junior staff. Travel is light as needed for project oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or higher in a relevant field.
• Thirteen (13) or more years of relevant work experience.
• PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification required within 12 months of hire or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures (budgets) and gains concurrence from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and profitability.
• Creates and reviews client billings; ensures timely payment and approves subcontractor/vendor invoices.
• Monitors project status; escalates risks; manages change using change protocols.
• Communicates deadlines, assignments, and objectives to project teams.
• Prepares overall project schedule/timeline and budgets by group responsibility.
• Facilitates meetings with stakeholders; guides engineering disciplines for reviews.
• Coordinates submittals to agencies and monitors progress toward deliverables.
• Prepares and distributes contract modifications; researches questions; mentors junior PMs.
