Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, seeks an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with heavy industrial power plant experience to lead complex EPC projects from definition through closeout.

Responsibilities include creating schedules and budgets, managing costs and profitability, coordinating with engineering, construction and clients, reviewing change notices, and preparing monthly reports. Travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Thirteen or more years of relevant work experience.
• PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets and objectives for projects.
• Prepares work statements and budgets with approval from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs to ensure profitability.
• Reviews client billings and ensures timely payment; approves subcontractor invoices.
• Monitors project status, risks and escalates as needed.
• Manages changes using change management protocols.
• Communicates deadlines, assignments and objectives to project teams.
• Prepares overall project schedule and in-house budgets by group responsibility.
• Facilitates meetings with stakeholders.
• Guides engineering for code reviews and problem resolution.
• Coordinates submittals to agencies.
• Prepares monthly reports and bid packages.
• Prepares contract modifications and responds to RFIs.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
