Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, seeks an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with substantial background in heavy industrial power plants. You will lead project definitions, schedules, budgets, and communications, while ensuring profitability and timely client payments.

Responsibilities include preparing work plans, managing change, coordinating with stakeholders, and mentoring junior managers. Travel is up to 10% as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software and finance concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for client interactions.
• Ability to interact with staff at varying levels and with vendors/subcontractors.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
• Understanding of building materials and construction methods; knowledge of production of construction documents.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Create project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepare statements of work with work breakdown structures and gain approvals.
• Manage project costs to ensure profitability.
• Review client billings and ensure timely payments; approve subcontractor invoices.
• Monitor project status, risks, and escalate as needed.
• Manage changes using change management protocols.
• Communicate deadlines, assignments, and objectives to the project team.
• Prepare overall project schedule and in-house budgets by group.
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to engineering for code reviews.
• Coordinate submittals to agencies.
• Prepare and distribute contract modifications and addendums.
• Mentor less experienced Project Managers.
• Prepare monthly reports and bid packages.
• Travel up to 10%.
