Job summary
Bowman is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to design, implement, secure, and support enterprise infrastructure across 80+ sites in North America. This remote role requires guiding junior staff, coordinating cross‑functional teams, and driving modernization with cloud adoption and automation.
You will lead deployments, ensure security, manage backups and DR, and collaborate with business leaders and vendors to align solutions with strategic goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/IS/Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years IT experience with 5+ years in advanced systems engineering.
- Certifications in cloud/enterprise infra preferred (Azure, VMware, AWS).
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, secure, and maintain enterprise systems and cloud infra.
- Lead complex infrastructure deployments, upgrades, migrations and integrations.
- Architect hybrid environments (AD, M365, Azure AD) and optimize virtualization.
- Develop automation using PowerShell, Power Automate, PowerApps.
- Create technical documentation and manage vendor relationships.
- Provide advanced escalation support and guidance to IT operations.
