Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to design, implement, and secure enterprise infrastructure across 80+ sites in North America. This remote role requires guiding complex projects, mentoring junior staff, and aligning technologies with business goals.

You will advance cloud adoption, automation, and security while maintaining high availability and performance. The ideal candidate has 8+ years IT, 5+ years in advanced systems engineering, and certifications in Azure, VMware, or similar.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, IS, Engineering, or related field.
Eight+ years of progressive IT experience with five+ years in advanced systems engineering.
Advanced systems and cloud certifications preferred (Azure, VMware, etc.).
Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and enterprise identity solutions.
Strong automation, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code exposure.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, secure, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across sites.
Lead complex deployments, upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
Architect and support hybrid environments with AD, M365, Azure AD, and cloud services.
Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, Power Automate, or PowerApps.
Monitor performance, security compliance, and reliability; provide technical leadership.
