Job summary

Stantec is seeking experienced Project Manager professionals to lead energy projects across Southern California and the Western US. You will guide internal and external teams, manage scope, budget, and schedule, and drive proposals, risk reviews, and client relationships.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific/engineering field, 10+ years of experience (5+ in project management), PMP/PE preferred, and willingness to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

  • Experience organizing, planning, and executing projects from pursuit through closeout.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and solve complex problems.
  • Proven track record managing projects from planning through construction in a consulting environment.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passion for team building and collaboration.
  • Travel to other offices and project sites is required.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and resources.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience leading multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
  • Client-focused with commitment to technical excellence, quality, and safety.
  • Ability to drive business development and growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage scope, budget, and schedule on multiple projects.
  • Write proposals and lead multidisciplinary teams from planning to final design and construction.
  • Identify resources and manage contracts, costs, and schedule.
  • Support proposal pricing, cost proposals, and risk reviews.
  • Adhere to risk, project, and quality management practices.
  • Protect health and safety of staff and the public.
  • Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Mentor and train future leaders; promote cross-geography collaboration.
