Job summary

Stantec seeks a Project Manager for its Energy & Resources line to lead multi-discipline project teams in thermal generation projects across North America. The role involves ownership of scope, risk, schedule, and budget, plus client service and business development as needed.

Office environment with travel to US and Canada, and collaboration across offices. Ideal candidates have a BS in engineering, 15+ years in power projects, and PE preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering required.
• 15+ years of experience on power generation projects, owner’s engineer or detailed design roles.
• Experience in business development and seller-doer activities.
• PE license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management expertise to multi-discipline teams.
• Manage energy projects/programs in line with PM frameworks.
• Coordinate with leadership, discipline leads, and clients to ensure aligned execution.
• Lead or support proposals and business development efforts.
• Mentor and develop junior staff; achieve annual utilization targets.
