Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver energy sector projects in Southern California, with opportunities to work across the Western US. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams through pursuit, planning, design, and construction, while managing scope, budget, schedule, and client relations.

The role emphasizes earned value management, risk and quality controls, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years’ relevant professional experience, with at least 5 years of experience managing and/or coordinating projects.
• PMP and/or Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred, but not required.
• Experience with project management software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Developing and managing the approved scope, budget, and schedule on multiple projects.
• Writing proposals.
• Establishing project objectives, procedures and performance standards, and leading multi-disciplinary teams on proposals, planning studies, feasibility through final designs, and construction services.
• Identifying resources and skill sets to achieve objectives and managing contracts, costs, schedules, and budget.
• Support proposal pricing strategies, cost proposals, contract reviews, and related marketing efforts.
• Follow risk, quality, and safety policies and promote collaboration across geographies.
• Mentor and train future leaders and promote teamwork across lines of business.
