Job summary

Comfort Systems USA in Richmond, VA seeks a Foreman Electrician to lead a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians on commercial and industrial projects. You will oversee installation, alterations, and repairs while mentoring the team and coordinating with supervision.

You will read blueprints and schematics, develop material lists, ensure NEC compliance, and support project schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach a crew of five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and project specifications, with NEC knowledge.
• Strong communication and coordination with trade supervisors and other trades.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure work quality meets the highest standards and NEC guidelines.
• Develop manpower schedules and material lists from layouts and job needs.
• Communicate plans to supervision to support production and budgets.
• Read and interpret project drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Oversee installation and termination of electrical devices and conduits.
• Perform field layout and basic troubleshooting of circuits.
