Job summary

Comfort Systems USA, Inc. is seeking a Foreman Electrician to oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians on commercial and industrial projects. You will lead, train, and evaluate the team while delivering quality work on schedule.

You will read blueprints and project specifications, develop material lists, and ensure work meets NEC guidelines. Strong leadership and communication with other trades are essential.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial or industrial environments.
• Ability to lead a crew of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Thorough understanding of a small, assigned scope of work.
• Reads and understands project specifications, blueprints and schematics.
• Communicates with other trades and negotiates work assignments with trade supervisors.
• Willingness to learn to read and understand blueprints and related documents of other trades.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site
• Ensure quality of work to the highest standards
• Develop manpower schedule for the team
• Prepare material lists from layouts and site demands
• Support production and budget goals through effective team communication
• Ensure crew work complies with local codes and NEC guidelines
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures and panels
• Read project specs and drawings to guide on-site work
• Perform field layout using project plans as needed
• Determine wire, conduit and junction box sizing
• Troubleshoot lighting and power circuits as required
