Job summary

Comfort Systems USA seeks an experienced Foreman Electrician to lead a crew on commercial/industrial electrical projects. You will oversee Journeymen, Apprentices and Helpers, ensure quality work, and develop schedules and material lists from layouts and job-site demands.

The role requires strong leadership, blueprint literacy, and effective coordination with other trades to meet project timelines and budgets. On-site work with exposure to varied site conditions is expected.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience performing electrical construction in commercial and/or industrial environments.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities with the capability and desire to grow in this area, capable of leading a team of five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Basic skills in communicating with other trades and negotiating work assignments with trade supervisors.
• Willingness to read and understand blueprints and contract-related documents of other trades on site.
• Understanding of customer relationships and customer satisfaction.
• Understanding of construction schedules and ability to follow them.
• Willingness to learn BlueBeam, Navisworks and related programs to understand project plans.
• Interest in leadership training and developing leadership, communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work alongside the crew and ensure quality of work to high standards.
• Assist in developing an effective manpower schedule for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts and job site demands; communicate lists to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by relaying tasks to the team.
• Ensure all work by the crew complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Independently measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panel boards, and feeders.
• Demonstrate knowledge of circuitry; read project specs, blueprints and schematics.
• Lay out work from drawings including underground layouts; size wires and conduits.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and power circuits.
• Demonstrate ability to learn and interpret field construction documents and project plans.
