Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Foreman Electrician to oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians on commercial/industrial projects. You will lead field operations, mentor junior crew members, and ensure work aligns with NEC and project specs.

The role requires strong leadership, reading blueprints, scheduling, and coordinating with supervision. Expect on-site work with potential overtime to meet project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities with the capability to grow as a coach for a small crew.
• Reads and understands blueprints, project specs, and related documents.
• Ability to develop manpower schedules and allocate tasks to a five-person crew.
• Communicates across trades and with supervision to coordinate work efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work alongside the crew to ensure the highest quality of work.
• Assist in developing an effective manpower schedule for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts and job site demands, and relay to supervision.
• Help meet production and budget goals by communicating needs clearly.
• Ensure all work complies with local codes and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit using tools.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, panels, and feeders.
• Demonstrate knowledge of circuitry and read project specs.
• Layout work from drawings including underground layouts.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
• Troubleshoot lighting and power circuits as needed.
