Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to lead design for water and wastewater projects in Fort Collins, CO. You will act as Engineer-of-Record, size and specify electrical systems, and guide project delivery from sketches through construction packages.

You will mentor junior engineers, perform design calculations, liaise with clients and contractors, and contribute to business development while ensuring code compliance and quality across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering and PE licensure.
• Experience leading electrical design for water/wastewater projects.
• Proficient in design calculations, drawings, and construction documents.
• Knowledge of codes and standards for water/wastewater systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engineer-of-Record for select projects.
• Specify and engineer electrical systems and products.
• Develop designs via sketches, models, diagrams.
• Create 3D models of electrical systems.
• Lead project coordination meetings and client interactions.
• Prepare construction packages and cost estimates.
• Develop project scope, budget, staffing and schedule.
• Prepare specifications and conduct constructability reviews.
• Support business development activities.
