Job summary

Pacifico Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to govern the electrical design for Cedar Creek, covering generators, medium and low voltage distribution, protection, and the electrical balance of plant.

You will review design deliverables, perform protection coordination and short-circuit studies, examine load-flow and stability analyses, and respond to field queries. Collaboration with the site team is essential to keep the project on schedule.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in power plants or utility-scale projects.
• Hands-on experience with generator connection and protection system design.
• Working knowledge of IEEE and NFPA 70 standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical design deliverables, single lines and equipment specifications.
• Assess protection coordination and short circuit studies.
• Review load flow studies and system stability analysis.
• Evaluate electrical change requests and field queries.
• Partner with the site team on electrical technical questions.
• Track design deliverable status against the schedule.
• Monitor preservation and storage requirements for electrical equipment.
