Job summary

Pacifico Energy is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to be the owner's witness and provide technical judgment on electrical systems for the Cedar Creek project. You will oversee start-up activities, witness tests, and drive issue resolution with contractors and vendors.

Requirements include 10+ years in commissioning power plants, hands-on generator and protection system experience, NFPA 70E knowledge, and proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Procore.

Qualifications

• 10+ years commissioning electrical systems on power plants.
• Hands-on experience with generator and protection system commissioning.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70E and safe switching practice.

Responsibilities

• Review commissioning and test procedures before execution.
• Witness protection relay testing, primary injection and energization.
• Witness generator testing and excitation system commissioning.
• Track electrical system readiness through to turnover.
• Drive resolution of electrical startup issues with the contractor and vendors.
• Support performance testing of electrical systems.
• Monitor preservation and storage of electrical equipment through commissioning.
