Job summary

Pacifico Energy is seeking an experienced I&C Engineer to govern instrumentation and controls design for the Cedar Creek project. You will review control system architecture, instrumentation, and turbine controls to ensure reliable power generation on site.

With 10+ years in power or process plant I&C engineering, you will evaluate alarm philosophy, change requests, and field queries, coordinate with the site team, and ensure ISA standards and functional safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in instrumentation and controls engineering for power or process plants.
• Hands-on experience with distributed control systems and turbine control integration.
• Working knowledge of ISA standards and functional safety.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Procore and AI tools used with human verification.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline — required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Review control system architecture and instrumentation design.
• Assess control narratives, logic diagrams and alarm philosophy.
• Review the turbine control interface and plant control integration.
• Evaluate I&C change requests and field queries.
• Partner with the site team on controls technical questions.
• Track design deliverable status against the schedule.
• Monitor preservation and storage requirements for instrumentation.
