Job summary

Pacifico Energy is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead the owner's engineering team for the Cedar Creek gas turbine project, guiding the contractor's design and evaluating change requests. You will own the design review process and drive resolution of technical disputes with the contractor and OEM.

The role requires mentorship of a senior team with extensive power-plant experience and a track record on large projects.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in power plant engineering with leadership on large projects.
• 5+ years representing an owner over EPC contractors under lump-sum contracts.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the owner's discipline engineering team and interface function.
• Govern the contractor’s design against the technical specification.
• Lead technical evaluation of change requests.
• Provide final change request recommendations to the Project Director.
• Own the owner's design review and comment process.
• Drive resolution of technical disputes with contractor and OEM.
• Own technical risk identification and mitigation.
