Blue Origin, based in Seattle, seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the OISL payload electronics, combining low-voltage analog circuitry with high-performance digital compute. You will architect, analyze, verify hardware, and guide cross‑functional teams across GNC/SDN interfaces and flight qualification.

You will mentor engineers, drive design reviews, and ensure compliance with aerospace standards while collaborating with mechanical, thermal, software, RF, and power teams to deliver

Formación

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience in electronics design.
• 4+ years of experience designing OISL or comparable free-space optical communications systems, with hardware contributions.
• Experience designing mixed-signal systems combining analog and digital compute.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR4/DDR5).
• Flight hardware experience and space qualification knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Define architecture and requirements for OISL payload electronics through flight qualification.
• Lead design of mixed-signal electronics for OISL payloads and precision analog front ends.
• Design low-noise, low-voltage analog circuits for PAT of optical terminals.
• Architect compute subsystems using FPGAs, SoCs, and processors with high-speed interfaces.
• Coordinate with multiple engineering teams to integrate hardware into satellite platform.
• Lead hardware bring-up, qualification, and production test strategies.
