Job summary

Blue Origin in Washington state is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to deliver end-to-end electrical solutions across motor systems, instrumentation, and controls, with minimal oversight. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Experience with electrical design, integration, and lifecycle ownership.
• Experience with low- and medium-voltage systems and associated analyses.
• Experience with instrumentation, controls hardware (VFDs), and commissioning.
• Root-cause investigations and corrective actions leadership.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, LOTO, and safety practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration in fast-paced environments.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Own design, analysis, and implementation of electrical solutions across motor systems and controls.
• Serve as technical lead for electrical scope on a small team and guide architecture decisions.
• Interface with operations, manufacturing, safety, and suppliers to set direction.
• Mentor engineers and technicians on design, procedures, and release criteria.
• Lead anomaly and fault investigations; develop corrective action plans.
• Contribute to safety analyses, configuration management, and quality processes.
• Manage schedule, budget, and milestones for electrical scope; report risks.
• Develop and deploy AI-enabled tools to improve analysis and design efficiency.
