Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to steer complex projects from concept through construction. You will lead a team of electrical engineers and designers, set design criteria in client meetings, and ensure quality across drawings, calculations and specifications.

This senior role emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and sustainable design. Minimum 15 years of related experience, PE license, and LEED credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with lighting/electrical emphasis.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• LEED credential preferred (Green Associate or AP).
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering concepts and design.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting, and low voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects with design teams to develop full documentation for new construction and renovation projects.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to staff to develop technical abilities.
• Lead client meetings to establish design criteria and review progress through construction.
• Lead evaluation and engineering of electrical systems and products.
• Coordinate project specifications with construction documents.
• Develop designs through sketches, calculations, diagrams, and models.
• Prepare and review site plans, floor plans, diagrams, and details.
• Lead project coordination meetings with clients, subs, and vendors.
