Job summary
Stantec’s Buildings team seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our professional consulting group. You will serve as the overall technical lead on complex projects, guiding a team of electrical engineers and designers through all phases, including design, documentation, and construction support.
The role supports healthcare, commercial, higher education, and industrial facilities, with opportunities across Northeast Engineering locations.
Qualifications
- Bachelors' degree in Electrical/Architectural Engineering with emphasis on lighting/electrical.
- Professional Engineer license required.
- Minimum 15 years related experience preferred.
- LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.
- Experience in healthcare, laboratory and industrial facilities advantageous.
- Strong client communication and leadership across teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple projects with design teams to develop full documentation.
- Supervise staff and mentor growth of technical abilities.
- Lead client meetings to establish design criteria.
- Lead evaluation of electrical systems and products.
- Coordinate project specifications with construction docs.
- Develop designs using sketches, calculations and models.
- Review site plans, floor plans, diagrams and details.
