Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead complex electrical design on Buildings Government Services projects. You will oversee teams, coordinate with clients, and ensureDocumentation and design meet project goals across healthcare, commercial, and research facilities.

You will apply sustainable design principles, mentor staff, and drive quality across all project phases, including field reviews and coordination meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in electrical engineering consulting with increasing responsibilities.
• Professional Engineer license is required.
• Experience with building projects and design teams.
• Familiarity with codes and standards such as NFPA and IBC.
• LEED credentials are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects with design professionals to develop full documentation.
• Lead client meetings to establish criteria and support construction administration.
• Direct electrical system design, calculations, and specifications.
• Coordinate project documentation and construction documents.
• Develop design sketches, diagrams, and building program materials.
• Oversee project coordination meetings with teams and clients.
• Provide QA/QC and mentor junior staff.
• Develop new electrical standards and specifications.
