Job summary

SSOE Group seeks a Mid-to-Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for automotive and industrial facilities. You’ll serve as Engineer of Record, coordinate multi-discipline teams, and drive power distribution from utility through facility networks.

Qualified candidates have a BS in EE, PE or eligibility, and 8+ years of relevant experience (10+ for senior). Hybrid/remote options available with a competitive salary range and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial/manufacturing facilities; 10+ for senior level.
• Experience with automotive, battery manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, consumer products, or related facilities.
• Strong knowledge of facility electrical infrastructure, including medium- and low-voltage systems, MCCs, switchgear, and coordination studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of electrical systems for automotive, manufacturing, battery, and industrial facility projects.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and technical lead on projects of varying complexity and size.
• Develop electrical power distribution systems from utility service through facility distribution networks.
• Prepare and review: One-line diagrams, power plans, equipment layouts, cable schedules, electrical room layouts, lighting, grounding, load calculations, short-circuit studies.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, controls, structural, civil, and architecture teams throughout project development.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers while promoting technical excellence and quality standards.
