Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Mid-to-Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for automotive, battery, and industrial facilities. You’ll serve as Engineer of Record, develop power distribution, and coordinate with process, mechanical, controls, and civil teams across multiple US offices.

You’ll mentor junior engineers, review vendor docs, support procurement, startup, and commissioning, and guide projects from concept through commissioning while maintaining schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• PE license or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial/manufacturing facilities.
• Experience with automotive, battery manufacturing, or other industrial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of medium- and low-voltage distribution, MCCs, switchgear, VFDs, grounding.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of electrical systems for automotive, manufacturing, battery, and industrial facility projects.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and technical lead on projects of varying complexity and size.
• Develop electrical power distribution from utility service through facility distribution networks.
• Prepare and review one-line diagrams, power plans, equipment layouts, cable schedules, and lighting/grounding systems.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, controls, structural, civil, and architecture teams throughout project development.
• Support facility expansion, modernization, and greenfield manufacturing projects.
• Interface with clients to understand requirements and provide technical recommendations.
• Lead design reviews, quality reviews, and constructability assessments.
