Job summary

SSOE is seeking a mid-to-senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical systems for automotive and industrial facility projects across the US. You will act as Engineer of Record, coordinate with multi-discipline teams, and guide design from concept through commissioning.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in industrial electrical engineering, a PE license, and experience with automotive, battery, and manufacturing facilities. Hybrid/remote options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience supporting industrial or manufacturing facilities; 10+ years for senior level consideration.
• Demonstrated experience with automotive, battery manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, consumer products, food & beverage, or other industrial facilities.
• Strong understanding of facility electrical infrastructure including medium- and low-voltage systems, MCCs, switchgear, VFDs, and grounding.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of electrical systems for automotive, manufacturing, battery, and industrial facility projects.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and technical lead on projects of varying complexity and size.
• Develop electrical power distribution systems from utility service through facility distribution networks.
• Prepare and review one-line diagrams, power plans, equipment layouts, cable schedules, and lighting systems.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, controls, structural, civil, and architecture teams throughout project development.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers while promoting technical excellence.
• Support business development efforts including proposals and client presentations.
