Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Designer to supervise a team of designers and deliver electrical and instrumentation projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The role emphasizes technical leadership and cross‑discipline coordination.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in electrical/instrumentation drafting, NEC knowledge, ability to size conductors, develop MCC/15kV equipment specs, and produce installation documents.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with NEC and current electrical standards.
• Experience in electrical/instrumentation design for complex projects.
• Ability to estimate construction quantities and prepare cost estimates.
• Leadership of a small team and coordination with other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide technical direction to a team of designers.
• Produce 480VAC and 15kV/5kV equipment specifications with engineering review and approval.
• Coordinate with clients to determine scopes of work and ensure timely delivery.
• Mentor subordinates and ensure quality and conformance to standards.
• Lead cross-discipline checks to insure coordination and adherence to schedule.
