Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks a lead designer with 20+ years in electrical and instrumentation drafting to guide a design team. You will ensure delivery of electrical and instrumentation deliverables, with emphasis on quality, schedule, and budget compliance.

Responsibilities include client interactions, coordination with discipline leads, and on-site startup support. Strong NEC knowledge and ability to estimate construction costs are required.

Qualifications

• Education requirement: Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD.
• Experience: 20+ years in electrical and instrumentation drafting and design.
• Familiar with NEC and ability to size wire, conduit and overcurrent protection.
• Ability to perform voltage drop and lighting calculations.
• Develop equipment specs for 480VAC and 15kV/5kV systems.
• Proven lead designer able to mentor staff and manage scope, schedule, and budget.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and technical direction to a design team.
• Deliver electrical/instrumentation deliverables on time and within budget.
• Lead design reviews and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Prepare construction cost estimates and schedules.
• Interact with clients to define scopes and technical requirements.
• On-site support during startup and commissioning.
