Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a Dock Supervisor in Olive Branch, MS to report to the Operations Manager and lead dock staff toward efficient, safe LTL operations.

You will set targets, monitor performance, coach and develop employees, manage schedules, coordinate with customers by phone or email, and ensure paperwork is processed accurately and on time. The role requires strong leadership, 50-hour weeks, and availability for nights/weekends in the local metro area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; a Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Thorough understanding of the LTL trucking industry
• Prior management, dispatch and dock experience in LTL trucking
• Knowledge of local metropolitan area
• Strong leadership including hiring, coaching, terminating
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work 50 hours/week and on nights/weekends
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Lead dock employees and set targets; monitor performance
• Manage dock planning and schedules to improve efficiency and reduce cost
• Enforce safety and company policies; comply with regulations
• Participate in hiring and termination processes
• Execute portions of Service Center Business plan
• Meet KPI targets and drive productivity
• Coordinate equipment movements with supervisors/management
• Communicate with customers by phone, fax or email
• Ensure dock paperwork is accurate and timely
• Maintain regular attendance
