Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Engineer to join a project team focused on distribution design from 4 kV to 34 kV, including overhead and underground networks. You will prepare sketches, perform analyses, and develop BOMs and cost estimates, with opportunity to influence maintenance, recapitalization, and complex design tasks.

The role supports a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two remote days, and may include relocation assistance depending on location.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in engineering.
• 1+ years of experience in electric utility distribution or related field.
• Knowledgeable in distribution design methods and their application.
• Familiarity with codes, standards, and distribution software including AutoCAD, ArcGIS, PoleForeman.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction sketches and details for overhead and underground network services (4 kV to 34 kV).
• Perform structural analyses and short circuit/voltage drop calculations.
• Create bills of material, cost estimates and traffic control plans.
• Develop work packages and as-builts at project completion.
• Support maintenance and recapitalization of distribution components.
• Plan modifications and design complex tasks for the system.
