Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Reading, PA seeks an electrical engineer to lead distribution design for 4 kV through 38 kV assets. You will review work packages, prepare sketches, and coordinate with clients and project teams to deliver effective solutions.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two remote days, supporting field work as needed while leveraging ABET-trained engineering skills and knowledge of NESC/IEEE standards.

Qualifications

• Degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Two+ years of experience with electric utility distribution or related to review others' work.
• Knowledge of distribution design methods and applicable codes/standards (NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE).
• Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, PoleForeman or similar software.
• Familiarity with GIS/GWD and distribution design software.
• Experience with overhead/underground distribution projects (120/208V through 38 kV).
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead a project team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/review construction sketches and work packages for distribution facilities (4 KV through 38 KV).
• Lead project team and coordinate with clients and stakeholders.
• Plan modifications and oversee complex engineering tasks.
• Provide construction support and conduct field work when necessary.
